Ari

Simply known as "birdfolk" to those of Cabochon, the Ari people comprise a number of avian subraces that bear the visage of hawk (Accari), ibis (Ibari), and vulture (Vultari.) Their kingdom thrived for thousands of years and their ruins reach nearly every section of Cabochon. It is unknown if any of these species survived, but the Ozwok people consider the Vultari their direct ancestors. Many birdfolk ruins are found throughout the world, but only a few have been delved or habitated. Kitsch, the ozwok capital, is thought to be the most intact of these birdfolk ruins.   Current study of Providence in Cabochon traces its origin in ariglyph text. The ancient ari referred to themselves as providence species and fought ceaselessly to extend their rule toward the collapse of their civilizations. Scholars who know of the Elemental Omphalos ascribe their creation to the Ari people. Many of those delved Ari ruin contain strange omphalotic crystals that resonate with forms of magic. Ari are also well known for their glassmaking material which has survived into modernity. This durable material augmented this bronze age culture into an arcane renaissance.
