Drekarströnd (Dragonshore)

Among the coastal settlements in Golíatlendir(Territory), Drekarströnd is seen as the one with the most developed infrastructure; this is largely due to how Úrkoma's urban sprawl and @Hvalasöngur's remoteness. Drekarströnd's port and buildings are made with sturdy stone transported by the dwarves of Gemheart. They also offered to send worked stone to the firbolgs of Hvalasöngur, though their attitude towards stonework edifices clashed with their more nature-oriented building habits.

Infrastructure

The roads of the city are quite well ordered and in fantastic condition. A long list of structures promote the productivity in the city. Foundries, shipyards, even sewage and public waterworks have been made. The markets are both mobile and immobile, with the wealthier owners available to buy a permanent location to store and sell their wares.

Architecture

Dwarven stone and Dragonborn artistic sensibilities combine to make quite a unique cross of architectural influences. The stone itself is mostly marble, but some are made of granite and a rare few are made partially of orichalcum, one of the rarest metals in the land. However, a great deal of the interiors of homes use wooden supports and furnishings that provide more comfort in the harsh winters, and lumber is still greatly appreciated in construction.

Geography

The bounty of the forest, sea, and mountains are well within reach of Drekarströnd most times of the year. The southern forest is lush and hilly, very thick and unmanaged when off the beaten path. The sea to the west and north of the settlement is of great strategic importance for commerce and general movement.

Natural Resources

The southern forests provide lumber, game, and medicinal plants and herbs. Much of the land deeper in the forests are unmanaged and occasionally require clearing to allow for improved hunting. The ocean's bounty is plentiful here, as the open ocean lies to the south and many different types of sea life can be obtained in those waters compared to the northern settlements.
