Hnahlam Mountains

The Hnahlam Mountains are the highest ones on the continent of Örkraz and the second highest one in Borgalor, second only to the Qug Mountains in central Jælondis. The mountains form a major barrier for traffic between the northern region of Sessalló -land of the Ophids- and the rest of Örkraz which is the traditional territory of Orcs, due to their height, lack of easily navigable passes, volcanic activity and the fact that the sea at near both ends of the range is wrought with dangerous currents and reefs.
Currently, at each end is a winding road by the coast that connect the two regions, cutting down what otherwise would require a lengthy voyage via Lúrk and Jælondis down to a day or two. In the past, a dwarven company made a few attempts at creating tunnels under the Hnahlam Mountains, all of which have since collapsed due to earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.
Recently, the mountain range has become a fairly popular attraction, attracting people from all over Borgalor interested in hiking, rock climbing and traditional orcish bungee jumping.
