Sessalló
Sessalló /sɛːsːalouː/ is the northernmost region of the continent of Örkraz, encompassing all the land beyond the Hnahlam Mountains. It's home to fauna and flora that are quite different from the rest of Örkraz, due to being isolated from the rest of the continent, including Lindworms and their sapient relatives, the Ophids, who share the continent with Orcs to the south.
Ophids developed their own cultures and civilization in near-total isolation from the rest of Borgalor's peoples, save for a brief period early in their history when Goblins migrated to Sessalló by following the eastern coastline, only to be chased away from the former. The memory of these encounters lives on in ophid folklore in the form of small, blue creatures that eat naughty children.
Explorers from Jælondis only reached Sessalló relatively recently, and much like the rest of Örkraz, the region has become popular among tourists to experience the nature and culture there.
Currently, the most powerful country in Sessalló is Ar.

Geography
Much of Sessalló is characterized by swamps, mangroves, lakes and rivers, with relatively little dry land suitable for large settlements like those found beyond the mountains, except at the foothills to the south where floods are less frequent. Strange rock formations, warped by weather, water and magic, dot the region, particularly to the northwest.
