Þagralía is a crowned republic in southwestern Jælondis and currently the second largest country ruled and predominantly inhabited by humans on Borgalor's northern hemisphere, second only to the kingdom of Hynra to the north. Located on the Þargolid coast on the southeastern Maralon Steppe, it borders East Jekralon to the northwest, Hynra to the north, the Lamþó Hills to the east and the desolated region of Amþax to the west.
Its capital is the city of Anifir at the mouth of the Ókor River to the southeast.

History

Þagralía and the elven country of Þamta in western Jælondis are the only remaining examples of the mixed elven, human and -in the case of Þagralía- dwarven cultural region that developed along the coast of Maralon Steppe and Jútrilía, which unlike the nomadic tribes and kingdoms of the hinterlands was centered around agriculture, fishing and trade by land and sea.
Þagralía was among the human countries that fought and defeated the necrocracies in the Fell Wars around forty years ago, and much like Hynra has been actively trying to keep the undead hordes left by the war within the boundaries of Amþax, with the long-term goal of destroying the creatures and reclaim the region for the living.

Infrastructure

Þagralía is divided into four provinces or hif, namely:
  • Durnhif /tʏːrn̥hɪːf/ to the west.
  • Japóhif /jaːphouːhɪːf/ to the north.
  • Jógrahif /jouːkrahɪːf/ to the south, where Anifir is located.
  • Þúrbakhif /θuːrpakhhɪːf/ to the east.
  • Roughly one third of Durnhif and a small part of Japóhif historically extended into what is now Amþax.
