Kaitatoya Yokī Geographic Location in Binaka | World Anvil

Kaitatoya Yokī (/kaɪtɒˈtoʊ̯ɒ.ˈjoʊ̯kiː/)

Kaitatoya yokī is the term the Kaushan use for the Great Desert. It means "breathing homeland," as they see the desert as both their home and a living thing. It is a personification of Nép, whom they call Yiba and they see it as a gift, to them and to all others.   The Raiyīŗ tribe maintains the Kaushan claim to the sands. They know its secrets better than any of the remaining tribes.   See Shiad and Mbushred for a good representation of how Shiad naqī Ŗash, and by extension the Raiyīŗ and Kaushan, feel about the desert.
