Hive Dominus

If one considers Hive Tyrannus the the beating heart of the planet, then Hive Dominus is the central nervous system. Once a small outpost of AdMech, centuries of expansion has turned the area into one of the most organised of hive cities.
It is still ruled by a council of Cult Mechanicus, and they have turned the hive city is a nexus of the technological. They maintain an archeotech communication array, the thin lifeline between the hive world and the rest of the Imperium. In the meanwhile, the vast resources of the Gaemorra system fuel an endless cycle of expeditions into the underbelly of Hive Dominus. Legend speaks of the remains of an ancient colony ships, buried somewhere in the planet’s crust. With these stories, comes hope of uncorrupted STCs and ancient, powerful tech that would not only bring Hive Dominus to the forefront of the planet, but perhaps into the grace of Mars itself. The vast population serves as nothing more than raw materials for servitors, and a disposable workforce. Whether due to some form of mind control, strictly enforced rules or perhaps due to a lack of options, the population seems to have resigned itself to their fate.
Splinter factions of the AdMech faith are commonplace, and the lowest levels of the city are a stew of tech-heresy at its finest, filled to the brim with old and new experiments, and the matching fail-saves and traps that few dare cross without proper guidance.
