Council Chambers

In the lower levels of the crown in Soul Plaza are the Council Chambers, where the great affairs of the city are debated and decided. Each council member has an office in the floor beneath it but very little of the remainder of the Crown is accessible, seemingly taken up with the mysterious workings of the Anchor itself. While in the crown a nearly imperceptible vibration carries through everything and your footfalls always land a fraction of a second after you think they should. This can be quite disorienting for newcomers to the structure and takes several visits to get used to.   Within the Base is a huge atrium, as well as numerous administrative offices and meeting rooms. Over 200 people work within the Base itself on a daily basis.   The council chamber is a large, rounded, triangular room, with six evenly spaced ribs lining the concave walls and meeting in the centre of the ceiling made of the same material as the exterior. The room is roughly 60 feet in diameter. Light pulses up each of the ribs rhythmically, matching the colour patterns seen in the orb below. The chamber is mostly illuminated by this pulsing, although more comfortable light cascades into the room by the doorway in which the party entered.   The room has an incomplete circular table in it’s centre, with seven grand, high backed chairs spaced evenly around it. Each chair is very distinct from the others, with each representing and personifying the characteristics of the First Councilmember who once sat in it.   There is an opening in the table in line of the doorway leading to three descending steps and a 15 foot wide circular depression that seems to be used for individuals to address the council.
