Harvest Society

The Harvest Society are a group of organised farmers throughout Barovia concerned with the "proper use of industry, theology, and sorcery in the agricultural sciences" who fiercely oppose the traditional usage of the Golden Gourds, and outwardly, any magical interference with farming and food. Though spread throughout the entire county, the majority of them — and where they are able to properly farm without the Gourds — are in Solec. The Society is known to meet regularly at the Shashlovich House, the home of Mathais Shashlovich, a successful farmer who lives near Old Bonegrinder and their de facto face.
The Harvest Society makes great use of Shashlovich Blood'n'Bone, a soil fertiliser that appears to grow very healthy crops despite little-to-no sunlight.
Members of the Harvest Society (disguised as magical cultists) attempted to burn down the Lacusta House, and murder the Heroes, to get to Ireena Kolyanovich, on the evening of the 2nd of Second Moon, 735 ME. This effort appears to be linked to their plans to whip up anti-magical / Golden Gourd sentiment.
