Amurg

The Amurg, also known as the Dusk Elves, are the remnants of the Zori who have since lost their connection to the Sun. Unable to breed, nor feel joy, they have become a sullen people who linger on in the County of Barovia.

Unlike their Zori forebears, the Amurg consider themselves Frozen-Footed, and incapable of pursuing the Manyfold Dance. As such, most Amurg are conceptually "trapped" in the pursuit they were in before the Mists came (if they were born before them), or without a pursuit if they were born after. This results in the Amurg being both restless and weary, utterly bored and directionless in life. Almost all Amurg, therefore, appear to exhibit endless frustration and melancholy, unable to stop themselves from doing what they now despise, or unable to bring themselves out of idleness.
