Zori
The Zori, also known as the Dawn Elves, are an Elf culture who lived in the valley that would become the County of Barovia, called "Rassveta," long before the coming of Strahd von Zarovich. When the Mists fell upon Barovia, they lost their mystical connection to the Sun, and became the Amurg, the Dusk Elves.

Culture and cultural heritage
The Zori began as a hunter-gatherer people in Rassveta, following the guidance of the Three Fanes, the Archfey known as Branch-Breaker, Leaf-Reader, and Root-Weaver. In time, they would come under the protection and guidance of the Morninglord, and would begin to worship Them.
The guiding principal of Zori culture was once known as the Manyfold Dance, a philosophy where one should express every aspect of their potential during their life. However, instead of this being expressed as a jack-of-all-trades modality, with each Zori pursuing endless lifestyles, the Zori sought to fully commit themselves to any one aspect of life at a time, forsaking all others when they did so, and then shedding it once they felt fulfilled in that aspect.
For example, one could choose to become a painter, and spend their every waking moment painting or in pursuit of greater mastery of that craft. This could last for severl seasons or even decades. Once the individual had achieved the height of their painting, they would put down their brushes, never to be picked up again, and find a new pursuit.
Whilst following the Manyfold Dance, Zori often entirely changed their personalities, often adopting new fashions, new names, and even new genders, to more fully inhabit their chosen role.
