Black Hole
A gveleshapi’s only threat is a fellow gveleshapi. A trivial strife, a galactic-scale conflict or pure hunger is enough reason to tear each other’s throats. These fickle creatures rarely succumb to natural death.
As the final years approach, a small gveleshapi, or a star, expands. Before death, it releases the excess energy as a nebula. Meanwhile, the lifeless body folds in on itself, forming a dense, planet-sized ball. Nearby gveleshapni are quick to snatch the remains, fighting over each scrap.
In comparison, a large dying gveleshapi explodes as a luminous supernova. Usually, its curled up corpse is also eaten by its kin. But rarely, instead of dying, a gveleshapi transforms into a Black Hole.
A black hole visually resembles the original gveleshapi. However, its behavior is erratic, without any discernible purpose or objective. They traverse the cosmos, devouring anything on their path. In known history, only a handful of dunyar mages have linked to black holes. They described the creatures’ speech ranging from short, confused sentences to lengthy streams of unrelated words, interrupted by utter silence or incomprehensible ramblings.

“Light... Red I marching... Slithering soil... Sleeping torn ablaze... My... ... ... Ghabargvnkhid safhikhad... Eyes spoke opal ice...”Some tried deciphering a meaning behind the lines, but most deemed it pure gibberish. Many mages suffered prolonged Gveltbilva and had the link severed to save their lives.
Do not link to black holes, got it. But what if there's -meaning-?
