The Silvered Blades

Overview

The silvered Blades are an elite personal guard to the ministers of the Southern Sands Trading Company. They are split into groups of four who follow the minister throughout their everyday life and serve as the final barrier from would-be assassins. They have spent their entire lives training to become silvered blades, their education paid by the families in the hope of bettering their own status. Aside from the minsters themselves, members of the silvered blades are considered to be one of the highest stations someone can reach within the S.S.T.C.
They are well known for their unwavering loyalty to their ministers, and the belief that they should sacrifice themselves for the charges has been engrained within their minds from the start of their training. In extreme circumstances, they have been known to fight against impossible odds with no fear, all in the hope to save their minister.
The lower classes of S.S.T.C society tend to view the silvered blades as soulless dogs who care more for their ministers than their families. Many theories believe they have been brainwashed and conditioned to their singular purpose. However, no matter what they say, their skill with a blade is undeniable.

Equipment

All members of this organisation wield silvered swords that have been eloquently crafted by the S.S.T.C's best smiths. The blades appear to be enchanted with various forms of magic to better their defence of the ministers. They are all outfitted in white plate armour that has been engraved in intricate gold patterns that are symbolic of their minister's trade.

Recruitment

To be considered as a recruit for the silvered blades, a small fortune must be paid to the S.S.T.C as an upfront cost for training. This has been set up so that only the rich make it into the ranks, therefore ensuring the high-class society solely remain as the more powerful individuals within the S.S.T.C. On top of that, the firstborn child of any minister is automatically given to the organisation as a "cost" for their power.
