Southern Sands Trading Company
Overview
The Southern Sands Trading Company provide goods across all of Axeram with no affiliation to sides when wars break out. Choosing to ally with gold as opposed to kingdoms. They are also the main ruling organisation that exists on the continent of Seldranon. The trade ministers each governing their own cities. The majority of Axeram don't look kindly on their methods but keep tight lips since they have become reliant on the companies trade contracts.Structure
The Southern Sands Trading company is run by a council of merchants who each represent different types of commodities, such as metals, wood, jewellery, food, weapons, herbs and magical items. Each of these Merchants is given the title of minister and hold the most authority over their designated areas.
Culture
Within Seldranon and any place controlled by the S.S.T.C personal wealth is everything. Merchants rule the cities and honest work is seen as the jobs of the lower class. Whilst not accepted by all S.S.T.C settlements there are many who support slave labour and trade.The majority of Veldren who S.S.T.C controlled land have become slaves, with only a select few rising to a higher station.
Assets
The S.S.T.C is in possession of the largest fleet of sea bearing vessels in all of Axeram. They also possess a small fleet of airships so that they can sell their goods to inland cities.
History
Founded in 500 M.E the mortals of Seldranon banded together to form a new government and system after the Veldren were overthrown and forced into hard labour. The mortals viewed this as vengeance and fair punishment, despite 500 years having passed since they relinquished control.
By 1000 M.E the S.S.T.C became recognised as the formal rulers of Seldranon by the rest of Axeram since trade flowed between every continent by their hands.
