Auxis

Auxis is a large super-continent found on the far-east of Toril. In the religious scriptures, this was the Gem in the crown of the kingdom of Ostoria, and where the children of Anum walked to call forth the races of Auxis during the awakening. During the ten thousand year slumber, these races forged civilisations and technologies upon this continent when it was one, though most of this history has been lost to time since the Schism, and Auxis was split into the two continents of Edea and Xedaris. After nearly two millennia as two continents, the people of Auxis have built new civilisations in a world full of magic.   The continent is located between 90 degrees north and ten degrees south, sporting wild jungles and rainforests, dry deserts, high temperate cliffs, wide fields and prairies, cold ice caps, and steep mountains. Auxis is mainly made up of Human and Dwarf civilisations, with much of the elf population having moved to the feywilds since the end of the Astral War. Since the convergence, various other races now walk upon the face of Auxis, such as halflings, firbolgs and orcs, and settlements across Auxis host diverse and vibrant demographics.   Between the two continents is a large archipelago dubbed the Brandruin, with many island settlements sporting unique populations spanning the reaches of the many islands. A large volcano is located on the largest island in the chain, said to originate from deep within the Plane of Fire. Between the two large sub-continents resides a large sea, the Moonkeeper Pass. This dangerous and wide body of water is wrought by hurricanes and storms, and there are rumours that deep below the surface are portals and openings into the Elemental Chaos.   The Moonkeeper pass and Brandruin are home to many large and dangerous sea creatures, leading to myths that there lives a hungry Kraken deep within the dark waters. The magical scars of the Astral war has also led to magical creatures taking home across land, though most on the surface have been hunted and killed during the third age. The most magical creatures are found in the wild biomes of Xedaris.
