The Gods

The gods of the current world exist in realms far from the prime materiel plane. There are many of them, occupying the outer planes of existence after being banished by Anum, and reside over various aspects of reality. There are 17 pantheons in total, worshipped by various races, peoples and civilisations, across the world, each of which reside over particular duties.
Academics who commune with the divine have deduced a range of power levels in which deities manifest themselves:

• Primordial - These gods have power over the raw elements of the world. There are four major primordials who reside, dormant, in the four elemental planes.
• Prime Deities - These were the first children of Anum, the guardians of reality who reside in the 16 outer realms.
• Greater Deities - These were the deities who the primes split their power following the fall.
• Intermediate and Lesser Deities - These deities were the children of greater deities who lived in their kingdoms over thousands of years
• Exarchs - These were mortals who did heroic deeds and were granted a place in the outer realms to serve their god.
• Demigod - These were powerful beings born out of arcane energy who had the potential to change the face of reality like a god.
