Alethean Pantheon

The Alethean Pantheon are the original deities of the world of Auras, the first of their numbers were created in the explosion of the failed Ritual of Binding, a little later on more joined as new deities were either born or ascended from the ranks of mortals. Most of the peoples of Auras hold the Aletheans in reverence, but do not actively worship them outside of festival and feast celebrations. But then the Aletheans do not get heavily involved in micromanaging the affairs of the world either, their goals and focus is turned outward at the multiverse. Each deity in the pantheon does maintain a cult and temples within major populations centers, though.

Structure

High God Corlan En-Dal leads the pantheon while the members of the original group of Heroes make up the High Court, the Elemental Lords make up the Court or Elements, and a younger generation of deities that ascended on their own might or were children of the High and Elemental Courts in the very early days of The Ordering makes up the Ascended Court.

Public Agenda

The Alethean Patheon is not very active in the day to day lives of Auras's peoples, they are the defenders and overseers of the world as a whole and keep their eyes on the planes and worlds beyond. A war is brewing with the Nine Hells and they intend to be prepared when Asmodeus makes his move.

Assets

The Pillar of Light is an island and tower at the center of the world that ascends into the heavens. Mortals cannot easily get there, but it is said to be the physical court of the Alethean Pantheon on Auras. within it's great foyer sits the fractured Grande Sourcestone that created the Pantheon and maintains the link to the divine realms of Auras's deities. Within the halls of the massive fortress each and every deity active on Auras maintains an embassy of high ranking Petitioners, Outsider generals and ambassadors, and a complement of troops to defend the Pillar should it ever fall under attack. There is also a hall for each of the lesser pantheons, and all deities maintain a permanent Gateway to their Divine Realm.
