Humanity remains ever alone in this world - this galaxy, this universe. For millennia we have made this foreign land ours, made it our home. Generations, on generations, have lived and died and lived again, all within it. We have made technological advancements aplenty, and built great cities that rise to the stars. So to, have we warred amongst ourselves, committing great atrocities that will forever stain our species. And yet this Galaxy, Astraesto, it is ours. Our home amongst the stars. Humanity and Astraesto are now forever intertwined, and we would want it no other way. Remember, our destiny was always the stars...
The Universe is everything, all of space, time, and life. Every Galaxy is within it, including the present home of humanity in the Galaxy of Astraesto.
Despite endless centuries of scientific discoveries, much of the Universe remains unexplained. Indeed, new wonders appear every year, fascinating and confusing researchers across the Universe.
From Humanity's perch within Astraesto, the rest of the Universe seems strangely absent. While endless species reside within the Galaxy, and even within its satellites like Sanoliad, no intelligent life, save that of Man, has ever been found. Despite endless searches, stretching across dozens and dozens of Galaxies, humanity has only found silence. The infinite silence has given way to many theories, some positive of eventually, one day, finding life, others, a reason to rue the day humanity discovers something more. Nevertheless, the people of the Universe continue onwards, as time moves forward eternal.
