Galactic Regions of Astraesto

The Galaxy of Astraesto is seperated in a miriad of ways, with the largest such seperation being into Galactic Regions. For the most part, these regions are not a political separation of territory, and are instead used as a way to differentiate a place's spot in a galaxy. However, true politically territories - such as the Federation's Sectors, very rarely stretch across more than just a single Galactic Region.
The Galactic Regions were first decided in 1022AC, during a Galactic Assembly of the New Terran Republic and the Republic of Osheni. Tens of thousands of solar systems - the vast majority uninhabited, were all classified into these new regions. Even with the later collapse of the New Terran Republic following the 1st Galactical War, subseqent major powers kept the regions near identical to their original classification, with only one major region being added, and newly discovered systems being added.
