Shio Nomura
Shio Nomura (a.k.a. Knightengale)
A boy born in Nagano but raised in Ars, and a part of Astra Nova's Yotamo Student House. Many on campus consider him a "pretty boy" archetype, noting the air he caries. Despite having the physical prowess and incidental fashion sense of someone who could easily be a playboy, he in actually is considerate, reserved, and a secret nerd. The poor boy is subject to his share of secret admirers, that of which he tries his best to kindly decline. That hasn't stopped him from growing a bit of unmeant popularity. He's talented with a blade, and utilizes a reliable long sword technique supplemented with arcanotech batteries that can be swapped in and out of the pommel, allowing the sword to deliver different kinds of magical effects upon it's attacks known as a bright sword. His love of cooking and graphic novels is his guilty pleasure, but his devotion to being a hero is even greater, and from the time he was 14 was taking part in the restaurant industry as a waiter before singing up to Astra Nova.
Physical Description
Body Features
Shio is a tall and fit young man who lacks the typical markings of the stereotypical hero student. His naturally appealing demeanor and appearance have yielded him to easily targeted as a symbol of attraction of many swooning admirers whilst also being unintentionally intimidating to others who assume he is of some noble birth above their league. His hair color, like his mother, is naturally silver, and his eyes are a mixture of purple and pink. The only marking on his body is a scar that runs for a few inches along the right side of the base of his neck, the result of an injury he endured in the past for unknown reasons.
Special abilities
Shio is an adept fighter who shines in the face of one on one duels. Whilst only a freshman, he shows aptitude with his weapon skill and has the reflexes and speed necessary to fully utilize his dexterous fighting style. His weapon of choice is the "Type 94," a blade he inherited from a member of his family before coming to Astra Nova. The blade is classified as a Brightsword, a blade with enchanted grooves embedded within it's length that can fill with different affinities upon the user's command. The Type 94 model accomplishes this by the installation or swapping of a collection of different implements built into the shape of pommels. Like a battery, these cells can be attached or removed and replaced to grant different attributes to the long blade of the weapon. Shio also has the luxury of a custom shoulder pauldron and accompanying bandoleer also given to him as a gift for his school career. His aura is as of yet unremarkable ability wise, as his grasp of it has only just begun to be developed. His aura is a sterling silver color when it exudes of his body.
Apparel & Accessories
Being a part of house Yotamo, he, like his peers, has a a uniform he wears each day. He wears the Peace Set jacket, typically either fastened properly or unbuttoned, with a black undershirt and white pants and nice shoes. He adorns his personal piece of armor and the accompanying bandoleer over that, and also wears a pair of glasses. Whilst the glasses themselves are to improve his ability to see things far away like any regular prescription, they are tinted a slight tinge of purple to give them a personalized flair. The glasses can also be darkened on command or while within bright light to function as sunglasses as well.
Outside of school, He typically likes to wear dress shirts or other variants, usually black, dark grey, or dark purple ones, as well as nice pants and shoes and light jackets. Lot's of people accuse his style of being very "hipsteresque."

Personal history
A boy who's life begun in Nagano. A few years after he was born, he moved to Ars with his single mother and younger sister. Though his lifestyle consisted of lower middle class living, he takes pride in his humble beginnings. His mother owned a small food shop in Ars that sadly burnt down, leaving the family with nothing. They found aid from the re-connection of Shio's mother with her older sister who also lived in the city. With Shio's aunt taking them in and the kind offering of a job for Shio and his mother at another restaurant, the Almeria Diner, Shio found new hope for himself and his family. He has worked as a waiter in a local restaurant, garnering a positive reputation for his customer service skills and admirable work ethic. He keeps much of his interest both past and current fairly reserved and kept away to his own personal space. For reasons his real friends still don't understand, he has trouble letting his hobbies be known to others. His reasons for being a hero come from one of compassion, wishing to help others understand themselves and realize their own traits and successes over glory or justice dealing, though he is pressed to never allow discrimination or injustice fly if he can prevent it.
