Tala'lelei
Tala'leilei (a.k.a. Meridia)
A member of Yotamo's Student House and a proud young cascadian. She's known for being being amicable with most, fairly charismatic, and enthusiastic about nature, that of which she has a fond expertise in. She fancies herself an up and coming researcher of arctic and marine biology, and looks to use her understanding of the natural world and living things to her advantage. She also has a background of medical talent, which is more of a traditional art she inherited from her lineage of practitioning mother and grandmothers, which allows her to heal wounds quickly using a unique form of magic based around water.
Physical Description
Body Features
Tala is a fairly tall and well developed young woman with tan skin common to her race, and dark purple skin. She has a tattoo like most of her homeland, depicting a sea turtle and some accompanying decorations, including bird of paradise and hibiscus flowers.
Apparel & Accessories
While in the cusps of school campus, she wears Astra Nova's Yotamo uniform with a personal, strudy tan jacket over it with a furred hood. She wears the Amity Set uniform jacket, as well as a black, keyhole long sleeved undershirt, black leggings, and either boots or sturdy shoes, as well as a pair of black brimmed glasses. She can see just fine without her glasses, and keeps them more for extra clarity when using her magic tablet implement.
Her typical getup outside of school tends to have one of two styles. On any given day, she favors wearing sleeveless tank tops, shorts, and sandals, and sometimes a loose fitting shirt over that. Anytime where it's cold enough to warrant it however, she gladly displays her vast collection of sweater dresses, soft leggings, boots, and knit hats.

Personal history
Tala is a cascadian native who was born in Wayfair upon the waves of the seabound city. When she was 7, she and her single father, as well as a crew of men would embark on a perilous journey. Her father and his crew were commissioned by the Arsian government to build a seafaring vessel specially outfitted to explore and assess the frozen reaches of the northern ocean, and the past homeland of the mysterious Mizuni people. Watching this vessels construction as a young child and then having the hard choice made by her father to bring her along instead of leave her by herself with foster care, Tala left on the maiden and only voyage this vessel, dubbed the Alicorn, with her father and a crew of both cascadian and arsian seafarers and researchers. Tala essentially grew up on this ship, a vessel capable of both treading the waves and existing submerged under the surface, not planting her feet on land again until she was in her teens. She took an interest in becoming a hero, though morever for the travel and chance to find solutions to life's problems over maintaining justice or slaying evil.
