The enigmatic and pious head of house for Astra Nova's House Yotamo. Known for her gentle and supportive nature, Nanael has, by many rumors, worked as a part of Astra Nova's faculty for nearly 20 years. In actuality, she has been a part of Astra Nova for more like a hundred, deceptive more aged than she appears thanks to not having a guise that ages. She is actually not human, but an outsider-albeit a benevolent one, who hides her true, terrifyingly alien form behind a persona she has come to feel just as comfortable in, though she can swap between the two at will. A personal friend of Headmaster Hawthorne since when the headmaster was a young teen, Nanael is caring and protective of the school and all those who dwell within it. She has a knack for picking up on negative emotions within students and co-workers and goes to lengths to reassure them if possible.Physical Description
Special abilities
Nanael, given her dubious origins, is able to shift in between two forms, one being her everyday form, whilst her true form is almost always hidden away and rarely revealed whilst in the presence of others due to it's more than unsettling appearance. Whilst unassuming in her human form, Nanael has been know to be able to dispatch foes with startling speed with a barrage of fast and unexpected attacks as she suddenly lashes out in her true form or lays traps that can frighten away or detain foes. She prefers peace over conflict and dissuading violence over causing it, but will act with haste and tenacity if innocent lives are at stake.
Nanael does not have a regalia, as her soul lacks the energies that of which produces one.

Nanael is a theology expert, housing astute and deep knowledge of all things spiritual, including phastasmal things. On top of leading philosohic class lectures, she is in charge of teaching about several different kinds of monster lore subjects, but whilst her companion Professor Kingfisher focuses on the study of dungeon bound denizens and natural beasts and monsters, she plays a bigger role in defining and exposing students to the other worldy entities that invade the realm in it's farthest corners. Outsiders, elementals, demons, spirits, and familiars all fall in to this category. Divine magic in all it's form and how to derive it from blessed or tainted instruments are covered in this class, while more specialized arcane implement use is left to Professor Mao-Long.
