Caltrops
Caltrops |Family Name Unkown| (a.k.a. Painkiller)
A strange and secretive young man who only goes by Caltrops. He is part of House Corvian, and true to his appearance, his backstory is covered in mystery, and in some cases, controversy. Many consider him to be dubious at best, plotting at worst. Internally, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Though his demeanor is quiet and his origins are mysterious, it comes from a place of self consciousness. Though few know of it, he is a young man of keen intellect for his age, versed in a variety of useful knowledge. He is a self taught medicinal savant and budding alchemist, capable of identifying and treating an array of conditions, as well as using his knowledge of the body and mind to his advantage in hero work to compensate a lack of might. He sticks in the background most of the time and getting him to talk (especially loud enough to hear) can sometimes be difficulty, but when danger arrives, he is capable of standing to face it with some level of confidence, especially when others are in peril. It's said that he actually was slated to be placed inside another house but personally chose to be a part of Corvian's school body for reasons unknown. He's polite, well meaning, and very perceptive of people and their emotions, as well as great at working as a team, if only people can learn to understand and work with him from within his reserved shell.
Physical Description
Body Features
Caltrops isn't known to reveal much of himself, keeping most to the imagination. Under his cloak is a slender and actually petite young man of semi shorter stature. He looks youthful for his age. He has small scars that are littered up his forearms as well as half a foot long incision scar where his kidney rests. His hair is kept relatively short but messy.
Apparel & Accessories
Being a part of Corvian, he wears it's uniform on campus just like everyone else, though typically more or less hidden to the common observer. He wears the Instinct Set jacket accompanied by a black tank top undershirt and slightly baggy black pants as well as shoes and black arm gloves. His nails are painted black. He is almost never caught without his big and durable cloak that runs down to his knees that of which is lined with pockets and fasteners on the interior. A special plastic plate and hat brim is built into the hood, helping to shroud him. He owns a round bair of orange reflective glasses that of which obscure his eyes, and a facemask that covers his mouth and nose.
When off campus, he has been known to still wear his coat most of the time. When he is caught outside of his getup, a situation where he becomes easily flustered and self concious, he enjoys wearing long sleeve comfy shirts, sometimes with hoods built in he can pull up. He has his own collection of facemasks he keeps handy, along with his pair of orange glasses. His pants a re typically a bit big for him and held up by a belt. He has knit arm bands he will wear on both wrists, one a solid black one, whilst the other is a knit black and white checkerboard pattern.

Personal history
Not much is known of Caltrops and his origin. Some believe him to be an orphan from a low income family who got a lucky break. Others think he's a rich scion from the Isle of Mist sent in secret to attend the school out of fear of shaming his family name. Others still believe he has connections with someone in the faculty who vouched for him to make his way to the School. Whatever the case is, he's a talented young man for his age with a variety of distinct skills he rarely seems to show off unless necessary.
