God of Dragons
Saynleh, Caller of Dragonkind is a clever, tempestous, and fiercely proud diety. Relentless in pursuit of excellence, Saynleh called the
Chromatic Continent up from the floor of the The Great Expanse and gave it to dragonkind to test them and refine them of racial impurity and weakness.
Saynleh claims all who have any dragon blood, be it even a single drop, and calls them his own. To them, he offers the gift of dragonhood, for being a dragon is something to which any even the lowliest most corrupt of blood can attain. Saynleh sees only the deeds of his people, and rewards them with transformations into his own likeness as their character approaches his.
Thus any may aspire to walk and fly in dragon form, though few attain this elevated status. Indeed, the dragonborn are most likely to succeed in this endeavor, though some wyvern, and even some goblins have been transformed into full blooded dragons. Conversley, some natural born dragons who have displayed cowardice, and embarrased their god have found themselves transformed into the lowliest of goblins.
An Unrequited Love
Saynleh and
Jiisho fell into disagreement soon after the calling, and their struggle against each other ended with the Shattering, a cataclysmic event that shattered the northern land of the elven kingdom in the
Spiral Mountain Range and north of the
Echovad Forrest creating the
Shattered Isles. The world itself might have fallen to their conflict had not the other Voices intervened led by
Lameravis who was infuriated by the destruction of his land and the loss of elven lives from their disagreement. A general war of the Voices would have ensued, however, it was acknowledged by all that Saynleh was the aggressor, and while the dragongod was stronger than Jiisho by herself, that was not true of the united stregnth of all the Voices. Saynleh was defeated, and made to be less.
Unwilling to allow dragonkind to be without a god, the
All Father extended his power and divided the self of Saynleh into the aspects of
B'hamat the dragon god of law, knowledge, order and death and
T'iamat the dragon goddess of impulse, wisdom, chaos, and life. Together these two manifest in the king and queen of the
Chromatic Continent, and rule those of dragonblood jointly.
