Faoz Amlir

Demographics

There are only Redwoodelves in Faoz Amlir. They are split into 5 categories/groups depending on their occupations. The biggest part of them are Artisans/Crafters (around 9'000), then there are Hunters (around 8'000), Healers (around 2'000), Magicians (about 700) and Acolytes (about 300).

Government

Faoz Amlir is also the seat of the Zayth Tcheori government and thus seat of the Hunter in Chief, their advisors, the Council of Elders and the Keepers of the Book. For more detailed information see Zayth Tcheor.

Defences

Faoz Amlir has defensive towers on all Layers of the city.

Industry & Trade

The City keeps itself afloat with splitting work into five big categories: artisans/crafters who build and fabricate necessary infrastructure, tools, weapons, clothes and so forth, as well as a lot of cultural goods, hunters who are responsible for feeding the inhabitants with hunted meat and bring them fur to make clothes, healers who tend to the sick and wounded, magicians who are involved in protection, teaching and easing every day life, and last but not least acolytes who take care of religious worship, education and mental wellbeing.
There is next to no trade with other nations, the only exception is metal.

Infrastructure

Faoz Amlir is a masterful construct of wooden platforms built on the giant trees of the Redwoods, interconnected by bridges, ladders and ropes.

Districts

There aren't really districts, but 4 different levels. The upper most level is where the government and the most highly regarded citizens reside. The two middle layers are mainly living accomodations (houses and taverns) and the lowest level is reserved for most artisans and healers, because it's easier to bring patients from hunting there instead of to a higher level. The onlx exception is the Head Healer's Chambers on the top level, where the most severely wounded are brought via a system of ropes.

Assets

There are many wood- and leather workshops, fabric makers, potters, healers and taverns. Faoz amlir also hosts a big library in the Facilities of the Arch Magician and a collection of historical documents is stored in the Light House.

Guilds and Factions

The five branches of occupations are each administrated by a representative who advocates or the needs of their respective branch with the Hunter in Chief.

Points of interest

The Light House, the Temple of the Red God, the Halls of the Arch Magician, the Master Forge and the Chambers of the Head Healers are all incredibly beautiful and interesting buildings to visit.

Tourism

Basically none. It is incredibly rare that foreigners come to the Redwoods, let alone Faoz Amlir.

Architecture

All buildings are made from wood. They are lightweight so the trees will carry them and are held in tones of brown, yellow, orange and red. There are many decorative carvings in the wooden walls and the style is whimsical and organic, blending into the trees nicely.

Geography

The trees stand on plain terrain. there is no river flowing through Faoz Amlir, but the Bogbeast Rill is close by and they also have a large well giving them access to ground water.

Natural Resources

Wood, moss, fur, leather and meat.
