Church of Arcana

The Church of Arcana is the religious order that follows the teachings and beliefs of Recondite, God of Arcana. This order is perhaps the most chaotic of all the orders as their god was created out of the collective consciousness and interaction of mortals with The Weave. He was never meant to have existed so is seen as an outsider and confusion to most of the Arrasgoth Pantheon.

Structure

The Church of Arcana has no real hierarchy in terms of a normal church structure. They follow the teachings of Recondite through books that have been passed down through generations of casters. The books are kept in an enchanted library within Banshaw Edge that can be visited by any who wish to follow his teachings. There are clerics and paladins of Recondite but they tend to be just as chaotic in their views as those that are not devout holy warriors. There is no high priest that governs them all.

Mythology & Lore

The culture of the Church of Arcana is wholly invested in the idea of transferring magical knowledge to all and to experiment with it whenever you can. Most of the church will be seen as somewhat chaotic as they feel that magic should have no barrier as long as you know how to use it. Their biggest myth that influences their teachings is the idea that their own collective consciousness is what created their god and as long as they continue to use the Weave to help keep him alive, they shall be blessed with his arcane teachings. None have actually spoken to Recondite.
