Michael's Report, 2023-01-08
General Summary
In the night leading up to our last session, Djhim succeeded in once again infiltrating into the first chamber of the Zonthosh Hideout Under the Raven Docks, and currently still remains there.
In the morning, we awoke to find a threatening note pinned to our door with a Dagger: "We can hinder your ability to move around, too." An obvious response to our dismantling of the Zonthosh Safehouse and its teleportation circle in the Castle Ward.
After running some errands, with Wash making care packages for a few of the ladies of Brightridge (Cedany Rowntree, Lashan Valchek vas Koros, and Emelia), we set out to fuck with the Firelight Family, and en route, we learned what the note meant about interfering with our ability to move around.
We discovered that the Zonthosh Guild may have been behind the protests about the door tax - although we don't know if they organized, they definitely chose to take advantage of it. Skeevo 'Stink' Skormont and Thorfin Dualbeard, along with some Kenku henchmen, laid an ambush for us at The Common Crossing bridge, with a cart loaded with enough smoke powder to severely damage and possibly even collapse a part of the bridge. We thwarted the attempt to use the smoke powder, but failed in protecting civilian lives. Stink lobbed a poisonous concoction into a dense throng of people, killing 80 innocent bystanders.
That brings us up to the present. It is noon-ish to early afternoon on the 13th of Reaping, in the aftermath of the fight.

decided to go steal a painting (mundane) from the Firelight orphanage and deliver it to the recipient of the painting we were supposed to deliver
