Michael's Report, 2022-12-11
General Summary
We started our last session by cleaning up the aftermath of Daxton Thomson's attempted ambush near our home. Wash and Xev took the captive Emelia and the deceased Daxton to Savra Drake, asking that she handle Emelia and find out how Daxton escaped. Meanwhile, Vathash found a city watch patrol to deal with the other deceased ambushers, and took care of some local business at the Bent Nail and the Steel and Steam smithy.
The party met up with Brunhild Morningfall at the Mule Skull Tavern, and determined that her relationship with Lashan Valchek vas Koros was purely of a work-for-hire nature. Brunhild offered us some simple work, delivering a load of wood from the Raven Docks to the Silk Docks. The job itself is less interesting than the reason why she hasn't been able to find someone to do it: the community is afraid of the nearby Crow's Eye Lighthouse, which is protected by an old magical shield and is rumoured to be haunted.
Overnight, an intruder attempted to break into The Friendly Ghost, but fled when she set off an Alarm spell placed on the door. We apprehended this druidic assassin after a frantic chase through the streets, and magically put her to sleep - avoiding the trigger for her Ring of Loyalty, which would have killed her instantly had we reduced her to 0hp. During this chase, she uttered a prayer to Beshaba, Goddess of Misfortune, a deity whom Wash has angered in the past. The assassin also had a copy of the Brightridge Record, with a drawing of Wash on the cover.

Vathash will help teach them to work with Reivan Steel
Involves doing a number of smaller crafting projects with them, where they will pay costs but also get to keep the product
Once they've had that practice, then they will assist in working on Vathash's armour
Got a key for unrestricted overnight access to their smithy

Met back at Friendly Ghost, agreed to go find Brunhild Morningfall

Asked around to find where to meet Brunhild
Found her at the Mule Skull Tavern
Told her we have a mutual friend, "Miss Lashan"
She says that name should not be used lightly
Said we're making good headway on the Stone of Secrets
Says she might have some discretionary work for us

Pursuit began, while Vathash was at the smithy
Wash made enough noise to get Vathash's attention for him to run and join
Vathash used Command to get them to drop prone, allowing everyone to catch up
Xev cast Levitate to make her hover in the air
She grabbed a necklace and uttered a prayer to Beshaba, Goddess of Misfortune
Took her two rings and amulet, and her weapon (short sword)
One was a ring of loyalty
She also had a copy of the Brightridge Record (with Wash on the front page)
