Michael's Report, 2022-11-20
General Summary
Last session picked up after leaving Istrid Horn's shop, knowing that she intended to have us followed. The party split up so that Xev and Wash could follow Istrid's messenger to the Zonthosh Safehouse in the Castle Ward, while Vathash led Istrid's watcher in the wrong direction to the Firelight Villa before putting on a show of being arrested by the guards. The messenger that went to the safehouse spent about five minutes inside, giving Djhim a chance to sneak in on his way out. We learned that the safehouse had two guards inside. If there is any more presence there, then it is hidden.
We updated Savra on this discovery, and spoke to Cedany Rowntree about getting access to the maps and bestiaries in the restricted sections of the Brightridge Archives. At the Archives, Vathash learned that the Changelings can get legal protection from intimidation as citizens if they register the property under their legal Changeling identities. In the docks, Wash learned that Jackie is also after the Stone of Secrets, believing it can lead him to the infamous treasure of Brightridge.
When we met back at The Friendly Ghost, we were led into an alley in a fairly obvious trap laid by Daxton Thomson, the big brute that Wash previously squared off against in our fight against The Gilded Grim racketeers.

Leaving Istrid Horn's shop
Vathash led the tail to the area of the Firelight Manor, then intentionally got himself caught by the guards. He lost the tail when they couldn't get into the castle grounds.
Wash and Xev followed someone to a small building in an alley of the Castle Ward, looks like a small middle class home.

Asked about the restricted section of the Archives, says that would need approval from Cedany Rowntree
Discussed the possibility of setting up a secret jail, Savra isn't convinced it's a good idea

Asked for access to the restricted Archives, was given access to maps and bestiaries
Left, elsewhere in the city
Xev used Disguise Self to search for sellers for his crystal drug, couldn't find anyone
Vathash research at the Archives, took 2 hours
Wash questioned Jackie
Refused to answer where they nabbed Otto, but he seemed surprised at the mention of the Castle Ward safehouse (he didn't seem to know about it)
Asked how to help the changelings
He isn't interested in helping, he's only interested in how one would maximize the profit from the situation
Demanded he say what he knows about the Stone of Secrets
He has reason to believe that the Stone of Secrets knows exactly where The Treasure of Brightridge is
