Tch'rataq, the City of Stars

Home of the Glorious

My friends, there will be no fighting in Tch'rataq! Settle your horses and put down your bags. Tonight, we feast, and tomorrow the Games shall begin!
— Tribe Chief
While the Danatelians think of the Uluswa as a primarily nomadic people, that is only true for part of their people. Uluswa goat herders travel with their flock, but those not on the road reside in well hidden cities amidst the rocks.

Tch'rataq is one such city, the largest of all the Uluswa cities. It is located at the very north of the Lands of the Wind, but none live there safe a few Käban. The city is said to have been home to the first people ever to ascend among the stars in accordance to the cult of the Three Suns.

Games & Gatherings

On the first full moon of spring, every Uluswa tribe sends an elected delegation to Tsarin Gha, the Blue Tower, to discuss the years event and take stock of how the other tribes fare. For a week, people gather to the old city to play games of sports and agility.

These various games serve several purpose- they reinforce a feeling of trust and cultural identity amongst the Uluswa, as well as allowing each tribe to show off its strength and health. The impressions made during the games can serve as preliminary defence of the tribe's ressources, possibly dissuading pillaging tribes from attacking them.

Most of it remains untouched, serving only as the field for various games plaid amongst Uluswa.

This is a great article. I really love the idea of the games bringing them together but also acting as a warning to others to prevent possible attacks. Such a smart concept.
