Wvaldina

Demographics

The village inhabitants consists mainly out of humans from Barrkad and the Golden Empire, but spots a small half-elf community and even the odd elf who put their faith in Ysand. These people mainly work as herders, farmers, brewers and chefs, that dominate more than half of the populace.   The other part are gardeners, traders and members of the Crusade of Ysand. Therefor governors and members of higher society are lacking and more or less everyone ranges from middle to upper middle class due to success and prosperity.

Government

Without a ruling family, Wvaldina is run by faith and the common laws of the human civilizations. They pay taxes to their local temples and take any legal issues to the crusade keep. In return, they have free protection, medical treatment and public services given to them by the priesthood.   The village does however require to communicate with the rest of the empire, thus the tradition of assigning a village elder to speak in the behest of people is true to Wvaldina as well. It just so happens that their elder carries the rank of paladin.

Defences

To defend these noble traders from possible thieves or raiders, the grove itself has checkpoints on the three great stone staircases that lead up to the village, and thirty towers surrounding the edges of the Wvievaldine along with a garrison of 750 men.

Industry & Trade

Besides of the local trading however, Wvaldina earns its riches mainly from their local brewery that creates and export unique wines and olive oils to all manners of corners in the world, dark and light both.   The Wvaldina wine even happens to be the most famous drink in all of the three powers inhabiting the golden dunes. Due to the abundance and growth in the grove, even though its quality is said to be prime, the drink is even cheaper than water itself and drank even by the poorest of inhabitants at times.   However, in the unlikely case of a bad harvest, Wvaldina makes sure to export milk, meat and cheese as well. These wares are also the most common ones for Wvieldan’s to trade for steel tools that they require to import ever so often.

Infrastructure

The buildings themselves are built on stone bases, chiseled out from the hills and supported with wooden beams that hold the oaken walls and thatched roofs together. The two rises high buildings often have their second floor larger than the lower and the only layer with windows. It isn’t too rare either that the main entrance is on the upper floors, due to the many windling stairs and bridges that dominate the streets.   The heart of the village can be found next to the rushing river, that harbours several watermills and workshops built in the same fashion, with the exceptions of the two temples and keep being made mainly in stone and bricks, the colour of pink because, well… The local clay from the river happened to have a very odd colour. The houses on the village outskirts are the largest ones, some even hosting three layers along with barns and stables to house the many animals, even though they mostly spend their times walking free.

Assets

These buildings make up a total of thirty three stores, that all sell cooking and gardening stuff. They are further supplies by eleven blacksmiths, seven farm stores, three horse breeders and one big alchemy company hall that keep the economy running inside the village.
