The Golden Empire
"Mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, citizens of the Empire, today, is the day we rise from the ashes. As the ones who dare call themselves our betters, our surperiors walk -our- lands and stomp down -our- bretheren, the time to sit idly has long passed. I know I was foolish, ignorant even to refuse such a gift as our great father Ysands. Yet, clarity has been granted to me, I now see beyond my own selfishness and pride. I see our father, within me, within you, within all our kin. Let it be known humanity will -not- let itself be shoved on the ground and kicked upon, with fire burning in our eyes, veins and hearts, we shall rise up, in the heat of a thousand degrees, and burn the flesh from the bones, such be the will of Ysand. And let it be known, I am no longer your Emperor, I am so much more, as are -all- of you. -We- are the Patriarchs of this world, the -true- leaders and we -will- show the world exactly -why- we shall remain such. So follow Ysand along with me, the God Patriarch. Tonight we embrace our gifts. Our arrows will rain fire onto our foe as our swords and spears shall freeze the blood in their veins. Structure
Because of the god Ysand's symbolism as father of humanity, the Empire is a strictly ruled by an Emperor Patriarch with so called "Golden blood." Which in reality simply is yellow blood.

Assets
The Empire spanning a massive part of the lower Common lands has access to tons of jewelery, silver and gold. Along with these riches and plenty of animals ranging from camels to cows to wolves and magical beings, humans flourished in the deserts. Still the lack of wood and water caused them to travel to the see and colonizing tree rich isles nearby aswell as opening up several trade routes with other civilizations of both their own and other races. The seafaring also gave the inhabitants of the growing empire a love for exploration and born with it, research. Guilds and orders were established and Mysticians along with Scientists and Philosophs arrived. Yet other civilizations started to grow jealous of the growing jewel. Generals and strategicans started to emerge and laid a new foundation for warefare. Culture and religion became extremly important and nationalism made a strong people with massive armies, wearing groundbreaking weaponry in massive ships, warmachines, crossbows, bombs and high quality steel along with dicipline and among the world's toughest castles and fortifications.
History
The Empire's birth starts far away from it's desert haven. Up north, from the cold wastes came an apelike creature, known as the prehistoric human. It was a sentient, yet primal race that slowly went from pure brute force to adapting tools and weapons for their survival. However as they started to evolve, their climate became more and more hostile towards them. This caused almost every clan to spread out over the world.
Time went and several different human cultures started to evolve, but one far greater than any other would come to rise. In the southern regions of the Common lands, the deserts flourished with life, even for a harsh warm climate, the shores proved to be a hot wonderland all day a year, while cool enough for people to survive with decent clothes at night. This caused temeperature to become an important pillar within the Empire's culture, along with their love for exploration, inovaton and a spiritual belief of something else.
For thousands of years the Empire grew while mankind knew no war. Still migrants from other human cultures traveled towards the grand jewel, bringing their own ideas and ways of life over. It increased the rapid expansion of the Empire even further. However, it was not only possitive. An old race of elven kind looked at the humans as lesser, inexperienced creatures who should not be allowed such an advanced brain that threatened their new elven cousins. War started to grow and the god Ysand who kept idly watching humankind finally rose to action. He appeared in his own shape infront of the Emperor Xasus and warned him for the threat, but was only waved away with a laugher. "War, what was war? Who would ever wish for pain and death."
The elves attacked and slaughtered. Soldiers along with men, women and children all fell within the neighbouring human civilizations and Emperor Xasus saw the devestating consequenses from his ignorance. It unearthed something within him, within the empire, within all humanity. A cruelty, yet necessary one. A call for survival.
"Father Ysand, I beggeth thine forgiveness thy mine ignorance hat costeth us precious life!" Emperor Xasus screamed the words in a tone that had the whole chambers of his palace shake. The temperature around started to heat up, untill the wax in the candles not lit started to melt. "I forgive you, Emperor, yet can you forgive yourself?" The words echoed within Xasus as he felt a godlike power arise within him. No, he could not forgive himself, not yet. His forgivenes would forever lie in the hearts of the people and race he'd save. Forever in history and within the fear of elven hearts, the God-Patriach's name will be carved.
The God-Patriarch reformed the human culture and warefare. Along with Military philosophifsts, Mysticans and Scientists now developing their art for war. Weapons of wood, stone and tempered steel would cast a shadow onto the elven armies. They where smashed by burning boulders, crushed by cavalary charge, pierced by bolts and arrows, while their own could not pass the stone walls and leatherbound iron shields. They were forced back to their shores, yet ships with catapults threw burning brimstone onto the escapees. None survived and in the ashes of war Ysand stood, saddened what madness could be driven into mortals, but with pride. Pride for what his race had achived, that they had stood up for themselves and turned into a large and prospering nation.
A nation, an Empire that even when it would come to face it's inevitable defeat a thousand years from now, still found it's feet again and returned to glory, to stand the test of the collapse and remain a loving jewel with a happy people.

Demography and Population
Within the Golden Desert around 8-9 million people with 3 million more inhabiting the sea and around 300,000 unregistrated humans roaming the lands. Approximately 500,000 slaves also lives within the empire. Children rarely die on birth and it's rare for a person not to outlive their sixties unless they are military, in which the age goes down to fourty.
After the Collapse atleast two million people died and the lifelength's dropped ten years.
Territories
The Golden Empire own's all of the southern common lands, except for their ally and brother Barrkad. They also own all the western and southwestern isles along with a large part of Varakanian coast. These lands have been colonized, bought up and the Varkanian coast claimed from Orochen.
Military
There are many military organizations within the Golden Empire, the largest is the main force, simply called the Empire regiments, named after various animals, like Regiment elephant, Regiment Owl, and so on. Then there is certain guild and privateer regiments. The most reknown however are the Elite Grenadiers and Royal Guard.
Technological Level
The Golden Empire has access to a high level of warfare technology, consisting of cannons, mortars, muskets and even some revolvers and war-machines like an organ-gun fitted wheelcarriage. They also have blunderbusses, long distant rifles, old school grenade launchers and ironclad ships, along with one massive skyship.
Besides warfare, the civilization has also started to give birth to steam machinery that criticaly aid the factories and better the lives of workers. Steam engines have also made the boat vessels more efficent and allowed the Golden Emperor to import two steamtanks from the Pure Elves for his personal Royal Guard.
Within Mysticism the Golden Empire are a bit backwards with most of their technologies involving beacons around the city that keep the temperatures at a pleasant level along with siphoning up carbondioxide that escape towards the air, to later be reused and repurposed within the manufactories.
Foreign Relations
Flawless with Snow/Pure elves and every other human cultures, except the Northern Ancient humans, which are not that good at all. They have good relations with Dark Elves, Quarrn, Charpaccans and Dwarves while having current neutral relations with the Commonlands elves, while they are hated by the Sun and Moon elves of the ancient elven isle empire. They believe they don't have relations with the Orochen and Taurus hordes considering they're all a virmin that requires to die.
Agriculture & Industry
The Golden Empire has not much in the way of agriculture, except breeding horses, elephants and camels. However they do fish a lot and have plently of farms along the coasts and within the isles. They are however heavily industrial with near endless fossile energy resources along with mines that grant everything from Diamond to gold to iron.
Factories then refine the material into jewelery, steel and refined oil, that are later used within everyting from everyday life, to science, to the massive Empiran armies.
The rest factor of materials not consumed by inhabitants are sold at an open market for most races to attend, at varying prices.
Trade & Transport
The Golden Empire got Several island ports along with their own massive port within the Golden City. Most trade are therefor conducted at sea, yet the more northern parts, though also more scarecly populated conduct trade by camels and elephants, yet do much shorter routes of trading with their caravans, not leaving the deserts.
Education
Members of the Empire are forced early into school of atleast five years, but can go as far as up to nine. However a large chunck of the people go further to colleges to study, were a small percentage stay to become scientists and teachers.
Another, albeit smaller part of the populace go furtherr to Philosophical instutes instead of college to study, were an even smaller part of around one percentage and less go further to study mysticism and become mysticans.
Infrastructure
The Golden empire are very sophisticated and have a massive sandstone wall around their grand city, which is connected to aquaducts from the sea into sewages and bathhouses that go further into the desert to naturaly be cleaned, were the compost is also taken care of for farmground. Road networks connect the whole city and much of the coast, alas sand within the middle and nortern parts of the Empire makes roads hard.
Ornately built castles exist on nearly every isle, many in a style choosen specificaly by some old noble. Ports in different colours also light up the sea at night in beautiful colours that can be seen from the various tightly built houses roofs, or the spires of rich manors and temples, surrounded by walls, streets, lampposts, and a large canal that span the city, with many romantic bridges to fill the gaps. Still the factories by the waterfront do not cloud the air with too much smoke as mysticans from the massive Townhall keep fighting the polution back with their rituals, albeit for aestetic purposes considering they have no idea how bad the smog acctualyt would be for the climate.
Hail Ysand!
The Golden Empire stood proud already a thousand years ago. - Alas, no Empire may live forever and thus the City was taken in the year of 1421. Still, the citizens of the empire burned with hate and desire to reconquer their lands. In such The Golden Empire was reborn and destined to remain a thousand years.

The Citizens of the empire usual deal in Empire gold, their main currency, yet there are banks where one may use Dark Elven Coin, Elven silver and Northern Crown's. Many traders however go by barterning, trading favours or exchanging items.

The Golden Empire export tons of weaponry, gold, oil, glass and fish.

Vegetable foods, wine, mead and elven jewelery and artifacts are commonly imported.
Sarakanium and different chemicals are less commonly imported and almost always only imported by scientists personaly to conduct research with.
Legislative Body
The Emperor also known before as the God Patriarch, along with the council consisting of other human cultures High-representative along with the Grand Fleet Admiral, Grand General, Science Advocate, Headmaster of Mysticism and Lord-Inquisitor of the Ysandrian Order dictate the rules togheter along with civilian representants of various different groups all over the human civilizations, all strictly conducted within the Ophala-Ysandrian Isles Parliament, guarded and watched by the Knights of High Court and judged by their Judge Patriarch, who's hammer confirms the laws of all mankind.
Judicial Body
the Knights of High Court are the ones with most power and control of the laws interpretation, yet Royals, nobles and most important religious figures are also able to bend and twist them within their own cities and reach. Certain lawmen of high possitions along with village heads have also been able to ignore some laws while enforcing out others that fit them better. Some of these cases can however end in death penalty if caughed by the High Court.
