I like to believe it has to do with our resourcefullness. Our will and ability to adapt, improve and overcome. That being said, other races may already have skyborne riders, animals of flight and their master. But we are likely going to be the first transporting entire armies through the skies by other means."

An old quote, that prove to be very correct. During the human distress of lacking in combat by air, as the few means of flight they had consisted of knights and gryphons; the Emperor swiftly realized a battle against dragons, pegasus and other airborne creatures with far better built and trained soldiers than his own, would decimate them. Nor could they, like the dwarves, carry big enough guns and tools to simply shoot them down. What they required was something else, something new and groundbreaking. He therefor called council with the other human rulers and powers. There, the Technarch Mathilda L'Hénoret came up with the idea of the "Daughter of Winds."
This name was swiftly frowned at by the Ysandrain Inquisition, who caused a massive scene at the political table. The Emperor himself liked the name, but Mathilda, in the name of science, and getting her project started, renamed it the King of the Skies.
She constructed the monster of a machine with the sponsor of both human Emperors along with the aid of a hundered of each nations best mysticians, engineers and scientists. In the end, it proved to be even more effective than anyone had ever anticipated and was worth the massive costs, higher taxation and two years spent building it. However, the Emperor would never come to find out how important this project was for his people.

Power Generation

Large sailclothes on the backsides of the vessel collect energies from the winds themselves, more the faster it goes. It also generates powers from mysticians and pneumatic, steam and coal engines within the backpart of the ship.

Propulsion

Pairs of massive rotors are built within every fifty meters of the ships length. These are filled with brown mystical runes of metalurgy and silver runes of mobility allow mysticans to rotate and manipulate angles and speed of the propulsion, causing the ship to take heigh, sink and dictates with angle it moves.
The movement is also helped by eight sailclothes, that depict the flags of the Golden Empire, Barrkad and Westport, along with silver runes of light weigh on the ships beam.

Weapons & Armament

800 Cannons, 400 Harpoonlaunchers and 4 Mystech-Thamuguns fits the vessel in all it's glory. The ship also has plenty of armouries that fit thousands of ranged and melee weapons. Mysticians also bring their personal power to the ships arsenal.

Armor and defense

A strong wooden hull covered in steel and iron physicaly protect the ship. Mysticans further developes the defences with runes to protect it against fire and strong presure.
