June Ann Charles (a.k.a. Junie)
June is a young woman (almost 20 years old) who has a very liberal way of thinking. She does not know it yet, but she will have a great impact on society due to an interesting plot change that will soon take place. She believes in freedom and wishes that she could become a teacher or governess to increase female literacy, but unfortunately cannot.

She is slim and physically fit. Her childood love of climbing trees has not faded.

She has straight, brown hair that reaches her lower back when she lets it loose, which rarely happens because she almost always wears it in a simple bun. When she is outside and active, her baby hairs often come loose.

Her jawline is quite defined, and when she is angry it is even more so.

She has a birthmark on her left wrist.
She has a small scar over her right eyebrow from when her older brother scratched her in a temper when she was 12.

She now usually wears simple, practical dresses. When she was younger, she used to wear her younger brother's trousers to play outside.

Personal history
She was born into a lower class family, and grew up in Lochines , a small village not too far from Asmye . Her best friend, Allie, comes from a middle class family in Lochines. They were constantly together as children, even though they are complete opposites. She has one older and one younger brother.
Education
She never went to school because girls of a lower class were never allowed to, but her parents taught her to read and write when she was little. She loves learning about history, literature and politics.
Employment
She wanted to become a school teacher or governess, but society and the money (or the lack thereof) of her family made it impossible.
Accomplishments & Achievements
She loves to joke that she can make the best pies in Arburg. She did win a baking competition when she was 14 with her signature blueberry pie.
Failures & Embarrassments
She fell out of a tree when she was 10, and she badly sprained her ankle.
She once had a lisp; and this is something she hates admitting, as she used to get teased incessantly for it.
Mental Trauma
She has an older brother who was rarely around when she was a child, and when he was, he would often yell loudly at her and her family, sometimes even getting physically violent, and because of that she gets very edgy when people raise their voices.

She can sketch quite impressively. However, she is terrrible at solving number problems.

She thinks everyone has the right to follow their heart (although she never says it like that, because she finds the sentence too cheesy. But she means it.)

She hates it when she is forced to submit to someone just because they are higher in society or of the opposite gender. Also, she hates it if someone abuses the power they hold. She believes power and position should be used for the common and greater good, rather than selfish ambitions.
