Martha Charles (a.k.a. Martie)
Martha, like her husband, Paul, has seen her fair share of difficulties. She met Paul when she was 15, and quickly fell head over heels for him. He, however, couldn't return the feelings immediately, as he still had his own emotional baggage to deal with. Before they began courting, she had a huge crush on him. He was quite good-looking, and she always thought that he would make an excellent husband ad father. Soon enough, she had a chance to see if her theory was correct. When she had heir first child, Harry, both of them felt extremely incompetent and unqualified to parent this tiny human being. If their is one thing she wishes she could change in her past, it would be to give Harry more love than she did. She feels personal responsible for the way he turned out, and it caused her much grief and many sleepless nights. Her two miscarriages later left her an emotional wreck, and it cut deep into her heart, leaving an ugly scar. It only really began to heal when she had June and Logan, and , like Paul, she was determined to devote herself to raising them like she wishes she had raised Harry, with as much love as possible.

She would always plant her hands firmly on her hips and look me dead in the eyes when she scolded me. She always seemed so much more powerful and scary when she did that. I call it her "Angry Stance". If you come face to face with the Angry Stance, you are in a lot of trouble. If she calls you by both your first and middle and surname as well, you are in even more trouble. And my mother can be fierce when she gets super angry.

She is an extremely good cook, and that was something that all of her family members, even Harry, always appreciated a lot about her.
