Though born a psion, alongside Abi Suusoret and Arrun Murena, Talacal always found herself feeling the competitive drive to perfect herself physically, and so, as soon as the reins laxed enough, she signed herself up to take part in the Empire's gladiatorial ring, besting many foes, and proving herself, while putting on quite a show. Some say this earned her Mamercus' favor, though, what that might mean is anyone's guess, in truth.
