Sitting upon a remote ice planet, distant from most of the inhabitable worlds in the Acellar sector, is Recarro, or, as residents of the sole facility on-world call it, Recarro Actual.
Long ago, the UGF established a research base upon Recarro, after an expedition team discovered the frozen remnants of an artificially-made structure in the bottom portion of an ice shelf. Recarro Actual Facility, as it was dubbed by the first inhabitants, was established not far from the discovered structure.
1071 ABO, some 20 years into the facility's service, a couple of years after the most recent batch of researchers arrived on the space station known as Recarro Orbital, RAF went dark out of the blue. Attempts to reach the facility over emergency comm lines proved fruitless. Following standard protocols, the overseers on the station enacted quarantine protocols, shutting down all exits from orbit, and shooting down vessels attempting anything other than docking with the station. The only incoming arrivals that were allowed to continue are the supply drops.
Relay Stations Alpha-Beta-Delta-Gamma: A collection of signal tower stations that keep the ground in touch with Recarro Orbital. When one goes down, Orbital promptly sends down a team to assess any damages, and reestablishes the connection.
