The Chronicler Nestor Letopis (a.k.a. Nes)

Nestor is a famous historian that writes only the bare truth about historical events, not someone else's version of what happened. He has an amulet that lets him see and hear the truth when he interviews people to record the history of the area. His works are very detailed and concise because he doesn't pander to the powerful people he is often shunned by governments.
What few know is that three of the other prominent historians are actually him under different pen names. They are Duris of Samos, that like writing history in ballad form, or ettas. Tirechan writes in parables and Nennius in poetic parodies. These people are critics of each other, often heaping vitriol at each other in public. They live (to others' perception) a far distance from each other and look nothing alike.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

He is thin but wiry because he walks almost everywhere that he goes.

He has mid-length hair and a neat sternum-length beard; a long face, nose, and ears.

Identifying Characteristics

He has a scar on his right cheek from an interviewee that got mad when he was forced to tell the truth about an even that he witnessed. So burst out of his chair and cut his face.

He mostly wears long tunics or robes as if he was still in the monastery.

Nestor loves to travel, and dig the truth out of any situation. He loves recording events as they unfold, and being at the center of things.

He learned his trade as a novice monk, helping his teacher collate the notes of others that collected notes on events. His teacher was a Chronicler, but one that never left the monastery.

He is a Chronicler as well, but is a traveling one, collating his own notes.
