Herding the Touched
This skirmish was used to herd a colony of The Touched onto a reservation. Some of the touched fought back, but most just fled. Afterward, the touched that didn't die were forced into the walled area where they were now to live.
The Conflict
Prelude
The touched that have been found in any Atlantean city were thrown out. Some of them were tagged so they could be followed to where others congregated.
Deployment
An overwhelming amount of troops were sent to force the touched where the Atlanteans wanted them to be quarantined at. The touched were tested and experimented on to find out if they were contagious and to see if their "sickness" could be passed through the generations.
Battlefield
The battle happened near the town of Corleone in the southern grasslands.
Conditions
The conditions are primitive in the quarantine area, they were issued all that they were needed to survive but without many comfort items.
The Engagement
The troops ambushed the camp at dawn, rounded everyone up, allowed them to pack, and then forced them to march to the refugee camp.
Outcome
The quarantine of the touched for the foreseeable future. Oddly more of the touched survived, than when they were on their own, because of the stigma of their curse.
Aftermath
No way was found to reverse their curse, but the few that had unstable mutations were able to be stabilized.
Historical Significance
Depending on who is talked to the Atlanteans were either vilified or congratulated for this campaign.Legacy
After the first engagement, other groups were captured and cycled through the camp. Very few were found to be contagious, those that were found to be both stable and safe were set free in prepared and secured settlements far from normal cities.
