Arachne is the Goddess of spiders and spider-folk. She is also the goddess of wisdom, weaving foresight, protection (especially of women and children), light/fire bringer, creation, dreams, birth/death, and healing.
Using her magic, she can give birth without a partner using something similar to parthenogenesis (cloning). She copies part of herself to make her creations/offspring.

Personal history

Arachne was born an Aeonian before the race ascended. She ascended along with her family as a young woman. This new life quickly bored her. 

Longing to help others, she searched for ways to do so. She sought out the best teachers to learn from in this new eternal life. Always skilled at weaving, after ascension she took her skill to the next level and exceeded everyone else's abilities. 

After visiting the "deities" in the nearby regions, she found no one filling the niche that she wished to work in. Finding a lesser goddess that wished to retire, she took over her domains and few followers. She took the name of Arachne and became a goddess in her own right.

Education

Skilled in the weaving of all forms. She can weave anything that she chooses, whether it be clouds, light, magic, music, word (stories), metal, or fiber. With her new divine skills, she uses sacred geometry and harmonics in her weaving. Arachne can also travel along the beams of moon, star, or sunlight as well as the ley lines.

She even knows how to weave magic and stories into her weavings, creating tapestries that can play out legends and history.
