The Spiral of Forever
The Spiral of Forever is a bizarre architectural structure found in Sombre, the home realm of the Travesty of Dreams, Drelux. The Spiral is a massive, winding staircase made of purple coral spirals endlessly into the sky and deep into the earth, with no discernible beginning or end. Each step taken feels like hours have passed, but when you look back, you’ve only moved inches. Climbing the stairs induces visions of missed opportunities, wasted moments, and forgotten pasts.
Travelers often hear the ticking of unseen clocks and see phantoms of themselves at different stages of their lives, watching silently as they pass. However, fragments of time, shaped like translucent humanoids, attack those who linger too long and drain memories and vitality, while random bursts of accelerated or slowed time can disorient or even age adventurers prematurely.
At the center of the spiral lies the Chronocoral Heart, a fragment of pure temporal energy that grants the ability to rewind time by 6 seconds once per day. It is said that K'Niff, enemy of Time, has attempted to overthrow the Spiral on multiple occasions.
