Redcap

Redcaps are a small, violent Fey creature. Redcaps are obsessed with blood, and often dye their clothes in the substance, leaving a lingering smell of rot that often accompanies the creatures. This obsession, alongside a natural inclination to torture and toy with their prey, has led some to believe that Thija, the Travesty of Pain has some connection to these creatures, but this is unconfirmed. 
While many Redcaps make their homes in The Feywild, seeking out lost visitors to the plane, many venture into the realms of Apa Axas, seeking fresh blood. These incursions have led to the reputation of Redcaps being an invasive species, and many cultures, in particular Wood Elves, will kill them on sight. This may seem unfair to the casual observer, the Redcaps see these murderous attempts as sport, and reciprocate in kind, if only to amuse themselves.
