Leish Lekki
The Winter Wanderer, Demigod of the Cold, Endings and Despair, The Hearth Maiden
Leish Lekki is one of the First Archfey, although she rejected her seat at The Seelie Court despite being considered a member by many scholars.
Tenets of Faith
Leish Lekki is not widely worshipped, as her domain is too somber for most mortals. However, she is revered by those who see beauty in the inevitability of death and endings. Her followers include:
- Hospice workers and healers, who call upon her to ease the passing of their charges.
- Lonely wanderers and hermits, who find comfort in her quiet companionship.
- Elves and Fey creatures, who admire her choice to live among mortals rather than rule over them.
- Bards and poets, who are inspired by her bittersweet nature and compose songs and tales of her kindness. Her shrines are rare and often found in secluded places touched by winter’s stillness, such as a snow-covered glade, an icy cave, or a frostbitten peak. Offerings typically include delicate items like snowdrops, silvered leaves, or melted ice in crystal vials.
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Leish Lekki is often described as a tall, ethereal figure cloaked in a mantle of swirling snow and ice. Her skin is pale and faintly blue, as if kissed by eternal frost, and her hair flows like frozen waterfalls, shimmering with a faint silver hue. Her eyes are crystalline and piercing, holding the quiet stillness of a frost-covered field at dawn. She wears garments crafted from frostwoven threads and adorned with delicate icicles that never melt, giving her an otherworldly, ephemeral quality. Her staff, known as Frystevær, is said to be carved from the first tree that froze under the winter sun. When she walks, snowflakes gather at her feet, and the air grows cold and quiet.
Special abilities
Leish Lekki bares a variety of unique abilities. For example, she can walk unseen by those who are not on the brink of death. To the dying, she appears as a comforting figure, radiating warmth despite her frosty appearance. When speaking to the dying, Leish can plant a tiny seed of hope in their hearts. This might manifest as a memory of joy, the promise of a peaceful afterlife, or a moment of clarity before the end. In addition, she has control over ice and the atmosphere; she can summon the chill of winter to calm raging tempests, still fiery tempers, or end battles. Her frost is not meant to harm but to bring quiet and stillness. In dire situations, Leish can freeze an entire battlefield, halting conflict in an instant. Those affected are held in a stasis-like sleep, dreaming of peaceful winters until they awaken.
Her staff, Frystevær, allows her to manipulate snow and ice with intricate precision, creating barriers, illusions, or works of haunting beauty.
Apparel & Accessories
Leish Lekki is often seen with the Winter Flute of Frosted Silence, her signature instrument. She will often use the flute to freeze the hearts of even the hottest foe.

Personal history
Leish Lekki is said to have been born during the first winter solstice, her breath creating the frost that clung to the trees and her tears forming the first snowflakes. Her father, Feny Lekki, God of Elves and Light, once offered her dominion over a part of the heavens, but she turned it down, finding the unchanging beauty of divinity stifling. Instead, she chose to walk among mortals, believing that in their brief lives, their hopes and struggles, lay a beauty unmatched by the eternal light of the heavens. Her presence is often felt in moments of stillness: the silent hush before a snowfall, the fleeting peace of a dying ember, or the last breath of a fading life. Her followers claim that she weaves these moments into a great tapestry of endings, each thread representing a life, a story, or a dream.
On her journey, Leish Lekki has been a subject in several stories and legends. It is said that a dying king once encountered Leish Lekki on his deathbed. She whispered a single word to him that filled his heart with hope, and with his final breath, he united his broken kingdom. The word she spoke has been lost to time. In another tale, during a massive war in Apa Axas, Leish appeared and cast her frost over an entire battlefield. Both sides were encased in ice, frozen in time until they could find peace. Centuries later, when the ice finally melted, the descendants of the warriors had become allies, and no one remembered why they had fought. Early Elves tell the tale of The Wandering Hearth; in an endless winter that threatened to destroy a small village, Leish appeared as a wandering stranger. She kindled their hearthfires with a touch, creating warmth that could not be extinguished until the spring thaw came. The villagers still tell stories of “The Hearth Maiden” who saved them.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Despite her association with death and despair, Leish Lekki is not cruel or heartless. She embodies the bittersweet beauty of endings and the necessity of change. She offers solace to those nearing their final moments, giving them courage to face the unknown with grace. Her voice is calm and melodic, carrying the weight of wisdom and the tenderness of a winter lullaby. Leish is fiercely independent, having rejected the role of queen alongside her siblings to walk the mortal world instead. Her choice reflects her belief that the mortal realm holds truths and sorrows more profound than the lofty heights of godhood. She is drawn to the fleeting nature of mortal life and seeks to guide those who are lost, even if only for a moment.

The two companions share a deep bond with Leish, who relies on them to be her eyes, ears, and hands in places she cannot be. They reflect her duality: the cold, cutting truth of endings and the quiet beauty of despair tempered by hope.
