Firbolg
The Firbolg are the first of the False Giants, and one of the few forms of Giants that are considered friendly, and are welcome in many societies. Despite this, many Firbolg chose to remain in The Feywild, making them a rare sight to behold.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Communities of Firbolgs are uncommon in Apa Axas, but not unheard of. They mainly exist in forests touched by the Feywild, in order to provide that much needed feeling of home that Firbolgs need to thrive. Outside of these communities, Firbolgs are unsuited to more metropolitan life. Firbolgs prefer not to be seen, and despise large crowds. They will often wear hooded cloaks or become invisible when travelling down a busy road or attending festivals or events.
Firbolgs are extremely uncommon on Lucidity, as the presence of The Far Realm is extremely unpleasant for the Firbolg. Reports of a sensation of “weighing down” the Firbolg’s magical abilities, and adding a layer of unease to casting spells, as if they’ve been forbidden from doing so. However, some Firbolg come to Lucidity through their innate sense of curiosity, or some misguided act of heroism, as talk of Lucidity has spread even to the Feywild.
Civilization and Culture
Major Organizations
A group of Firbolg, known as The Copper Tenders, have dedicated themselves to guarding The Mother Tree under the orders of The Vida Quda. They are supported by The Copper Guardian, a mythical knight who bares the power of the Copper Halberd.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Firbolgs are notably kind to plants and animals, and in turn, many plants and beasts tolerate the presence of Firbolgs, even thriving in areas with many Firbolgs. It is said that if a forest has grown out of control, or an abundance of rabbits, wolves or other small creatures is a telltale sign that Firbolgs have settled in the area. Firbolgs in Apa Axan communities are often dedicated to their homes, feeling they have earned them through pilgrimage and hard work, and will rather die than abandon their homes to invaders. However, they are none not to place much faith in military forces, instead preferring magical traps and illusion magicks to dissuade any potential hostilities.
History
The Firbolg were created by Zemer Epsh in tribute to Feny Lekki after the Tricky Flicker granted the Burning Goddess access to his Soothing Spring, which helped to alleviate the pain of her Eternal Immolation somewhat. The Firbolg were first weaved from the feeling of peace Zemer Epsh felt when she first passed into The Feywild, and, as such, the Firbolg share this love of all things peaceful, as well as the beautiful tapestry of the Natural World of Apa Axas. However, the creation of the Firbolg was merely the first symptom of Zemer Epsh’s returning compulsion to create; a compulsion that was preyed upon by the First Archfey, Haught Lekki in order to create the other, more savage False Giants.
When Zemer Epsh betrayed Haught Lekki, and murdered him with her newfound Flames of Vengeance, she gave one last look to her one peaceful creation before abandoning them forever. Feny Lekki took pity on the Firbolg, and took them under his wing, teaching them the use of illusory magic and stealth to avoid their mother, should she ever return. However, Feny Lekki told the Firbolg storytellers tales of Apa Axas, and it became a cultural curiosity, in which brave young Firbolg make pilgrimage to Apa Axas, with some deciding to stay in the Seven Kingdoms, while others return with news and trinkets from “The Promised Place.”
