Darla Dres was a Regigalian Human innkeeper, known for co-owning The Red Wisp Inn, near Coldashton on the island of Lucidity. She was slain by Brother Tendon of the Adherents of the Meat God, in order to transform Helen Tamine into a Gibbering Mouther.
Her husband, Samuel Dres, attempted to resurrect her with The Book of the Grief Eater by exchanging her soul for that of their murderous son, Clayton Dres but this failed, and Clayton was restored as a powerful Ghost.
