Clayton Dres
Clayton Dres was a Regigalian Human, best known for terrorising Coldashton, on the island of Lucidity. He was the son of Samuel Dres, owner of The Red Wisp Inn.
Clayton was a violent child, and was responsible for two murders by the time he had become an adult. When his mother, Darla Dres went missing at the Church of Endless Life, his father Samuel Dres, accused Clayton of her murder. Although Clayton was innocent of this particular murder, Samuel burnt Clayton alive, in an attempt to use The Book of the Grief Eater, a necromantic tome, to exchange Clayton's soul for Darla's. The ritual was interrupted, however, when Clayton awoke during the ritual, and rampaged through the Inn, killing Samuel, Sally Dres, his sister, Scranz, a patron of the Inn, and Yara Branchbush, a passerby.
Clayton was restored as a powerful Ghost, who could feed off the souls who lingered at the Inn. He began to lure innocents to the inn, growing in strength until he gained the attention of The House of Sinew. A Weave by the name of Marrisa Delain investigated, and succeeded in weakening Clayton, although he managed to destroy the memories of the Sinew member, or so he thought. Marrisa had used psychic protections to bury her memories, allowing a group of adventurers to systematically release the souls he had hoarded. Clayton attempted to defeat the adventurers, but was bested, and finally banished. The only remaining remnant of Clayton was his blade, which is said to writhe with his essence.
