Summer Camp 2021 Pledge Document
Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?
I am continuing to develop a campaign setting. Some of this will be pure worldbuilding, but I have some ideas of the next steps in the current campaign and may try to focus towards those areas, in order to actually help myself. This would then include:
- Defining high elven culture, including the role of houses.
- Defining ancient turmoil within the Wildewoods
- Exploring the myth of Ystraia
- Exploring the difference between elves and the fae
What world are you working on?
Anvimar will continue to be my focus.
Which area of the world(s) are you working on?
Last year the prompts caused me to expand my world in unexpected ways. This year I hope to use them to explore the elven civilization within the Wildewoods and its history.
How much are you aiming to complete?
I would like to complete at least 15 prompts. With a new baby on the way near the end of the month, Gold or Diamond may be extremely difficult to reach. 15 seems possible but will still likely take some effort.
When will you write?
I think starting early before work could be prime time. This will require some discipline. Immediately after work is also a good option. Every day will likely be necessary!
Who is your support network?
I don't think I would have done as much as I did last year without the help of Discord. I will look to be involved there again, hopefully reviewing other's articles as well. Shout out to #challenge-discussion! I was also able to join some twitch review streams which were inspiring.
Organizing my Worldbuilding
I've been using categories all along, but I've gone through and done some cleanup of my categories, caught some uncategorized articles, recategories others, and re-ordered articles on a per category basis. (See sidebar for current categories.)
