Human Lugians

Human Lugians are the main and the biggest Lugian group. They are considered a very organized people who like to keep everything ordered. Many regions of the world have a saying "Organized like a Lugian".

Elven Lugians

Elven Lugians are a group which began as Elves who migrated from Erell to Lugia. They adopted parts of the Lugian cultures, such as religion, while keeping their own traditions. Later they started to identify as Lugians. Elven Lugians have never earned the Lugian reputation of being very organized.

Coming of Age Rites

Day of the Youth

The Day of the Youth is a secular coming of age ceremony which takes place when a person is 15 years old. It takes place once a year and all people who have their 15th birthday in that year take part in it.

Blessing of Susanne

The Blessing of Susanne is a religious coming of age ceremony which takes place when a person is 18 years old. In most cases the Blessing of Susanne takes place at the end of the year in order to have all participants already after their birthdays. However, parents can pay to have a private ceremony just for their child. Nobles and wealthy townsfolk often do that.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Lugians observe the Susannite traditions associated with funeral. The body of the dead must be burned to sever their ties with the world of the living and allow them to return to the Heart of Existence.
