High Kingdom of Erell Organization in Annals of Atamor | World Anvil

High Kingdom of Erell

High Kingdom of Erell is the main political organization of the Elves. It controls the whole Erell Mountains

Demography and Population

Most of the Kingdom's population is elven. The population is divided into 3 socio-cultural groups.

Alves

Alves are the the most important group of Elves. They live in the capital of Alveslott and around it. Most nobles come from this group. They have full political rights.

Erellian

Erellians are an amalgamation of many groups which existed before the creation of the unified kingdom. They have limited political rights.

Lowlander

Lowlanders are Elves living at the feet of the Erell Mountains near the shores. They are generally considered as an almost seperate culture with its own social structure. Lowlanders have limited political rights in the kingdom, but have a lot of autonomy in their regions.

Territories

The High Kingdom of Erell controls the whole area of the Erell Mountains. The territory was unified during the Age of Susanne and remained united since then.

Religion

Elves worship the Mountain Lords who were ancient titanic beings who walked the world shortly after its creation. Shortly before Humans and Elves appeared in the world, Mountain Lords died and their bodies formed all mountains of the world.

Foreign Relations

The High Kingdom of Erell is in peaceful relations with all its neighbours, but those relations aren't very good. The reason for that is that Elves aren't very fond of Humans. The main causes are the unprovoked attack during the Age of Darkness and the fact that Humans worship Lady Susanne, while Elves know that she never demanded worship.

I'd like to know a bit more about how/why the Elves worship the dead husks of beings if they can't get anything out of it. Are the mountains (the Mountain Lords) just a representation of nature?
