The apocalyptic destruction of the barrier between Faerie and Alvez, marking the end of the Empire of Remus and the beginning of the first Bleed.

The cause of the Tear is unknown, but its effects were far reaching, permanently altering the realms of Bedouar and Faerie, merging the two realities together in a inseperable, chaotic jumble.   The Tear was actually a series of events happening over the course of a few years, all tied to the same cataclysm. The initial tear ripped into the capital city of Remus, unleashing a series of Wyldstorms and massive earthquakes that destroyed the city and its surrounding area, created the gash-filled landscape now known as the Shattered Peninsula, causing a series of massive tidal waves in the Mor Bra and the Mor Kreizdouar. These effects quickly spread beyond the peninsula, wracking the entire Empire. The Feth Fiada emerged from long gashes carved by the seismic upheavals, covering the landscape.   The Fog, earthquakes and Wyldstorms lasted a year before tapering off, leaving the infrastructure of the Eternal Empire of Man in ruins and millions dead. Remus, the seat of power and many of its larger cities on the Shattered Peninsula were destroyed fully, leaving the outer regions without centralized authority.   Feth Fiada remained heavy in many places, impenetrable mists in the mountains, forests and oceans of the world and from it, new threats began to emerge...
